According to the good old reliable military manual the approximate time to erect a 10,000 barrel storage tank is 7 days. Remember that this time is under ideal weather conditions, having the proper tools/parts and the correct number of people. Since we could not meet any of the conditions as stated, we were lucky if it was up in a month |

.As you can see in the photo, the floor has to go down first. Many fingers, toes (if your not wearing your steel toed shoes) and other parts receive bumps, bruises, scrapes, cuts...well, you get the picture...during this..well, during all phases of this operation. (Is there one supervisor for each worker?) |

The roof is a very busy job...must be thousands of these things to tighten up... Sure wish we had air ratchets way back then! |
